At a time during our fractured economy we still felt the need for a few small changes around the house.  There are many great deals on line that I couldn’t afford not to take advantage of.  The first minor change involved our kids bedding.  I think changes to our son’s bedding is beneficial to his well being emotionally.  To brighten up his bedroom,  I purchased  a bold “Under Contruction” complete bedroom ensemble.  As a special bonus,  the decorative elements are reversible that creates two complete ensembles from one set.  One with cartoon images of dump trucks,  tow trucks,  saws,  hammers and other construction equipment.

Our son is trilled with his new bedding,  as are we.  The change of bedding has helped him in many ways,  not resisting getting in bed when its time for one and his change in behavior to the better.  He falls asleep quickly and arises in the morning rested and without my intervention.  Also,  I was extra pleased for the handsome discount from the retail of $89.99 at better department stores and upscale specialty shops.

Most of our household items are tasteful,  solid,  and not expensive,  but the leather sofa was an exception.  We enjoy it very much and it fits perfectly with the home decor.  A few upscale pieces scattered throughout our home bring many compliments from friends and guests that add to the joy in owning them.

With a number of home accents and accessories we recently purchased,  it was time to tie back the drapes and open the doors to show the world the beautiful and creative decor designs throughout the house.  Each room has provided an inviting and relaxing refuge for our family to come home to,  or our guests to rave about.

Most of our decor items were found by breezing through online sites that are crammed with ideas.  Storage needs were fulfilled with decorative touches using unique boxes,  baskets,  trays,  racks and other storage accents.  The fireplace,  being the family focal point,  pops and sparkles with unbelievable brilliant designs.  Adding a photo frame was an important decorative item that creates a personalized base to the decor.  Decorative table centerpieces,  statues & figurines,  glass and ceramic vases;  all added greatly to our home decor accents.  Even our great garden was dressed up with a white wrought iron serving cart I accidently came across that supplied a nice touch to the outside.  There will always be room for improvement,  but our family is so happy with the current changes to our home.

Spring is here with its bright colors and sunny days!  For many of us,  the increase and natural light and warmth means more energy.  I think now is the time to get rid of old decor items and start anew.  Over the winter we realize our indoor environment needs something new.  Spending more time outdoors we also realize the need for better yard and deck furniture.

Aside from tearing down walls and other stressful projects that are very expensive,  we are looking to less expensive ways of changing our decor.  Fresh paint is a good start followed by mix and match items of decor.  We want to feel at home in each room and our guests should be able to walk in and feel absolutely comfortable and invited.  After rearranging furniture and purchasing several wall items and deck furniture, etc., has proved delightful for the whole family at a reasonable cost.  If you’re looking for cheap home decor or upper level quality,  for myself,  I’ve found online shopping is the way to go.

You can enhance any room with decorations and more.  Our home has many blank walls, so I decided to go online for additional ideas from my own.  Many choices were found consisting of canvas art,  art prints,  wall sculptures,  mirrors,  plaques,  tapestries,  word art,  shelves, picture frames,  and photography.  First,  we chose wall covering on a few walls that immediately was a vast improvement.

The bedromms,  bath,  and stair wall will be the next project.  With a little thought and some work,  has proved worthwhile.  Everyone has a creative side that goes dormet at times,  but when the urge peeps out,  it is amazing what good comes with it.  Our family are overwhelmed by the change so far,  and at affordable cost.

Although it is a extreme model,  “as we could have settled for less”,  there is a little bit of everything for everyone who uses it.  The cost was not exactly cheap,  even with discount,  but the pleasure of the entertainment,  education aspects,  online experiences,  etc.,  justifies our purchase decision.  I recommend anyone who can see their way clear,  to consider xbox 360.  It is overwhelming in the beginning,  but the family now find it a blessing to have and wonder why we waited so long.
