Improving the lighting on the desk and computer work place became a project for me after viewing large variations at the mall.  It was my last shopping trip that made me realize the improvement I could make at home.  The armed desk lamp impressed me the most because of the movable arms that directs light where needed.  They are specifically designed to illuminate a smaller area more intensely for desks or workplace areas.  I like the idea of mounting them to a wall and can be hard-wired or plugged in and have decorative cord covers to match it’s finish.  They are also great for bedside lamps without taking up space.

I decided to check them out on line and discovered huge styles and colors to blend well with the home decor.  Prices varied of course,  but all were priced reasonable and also at discount offerings.  My husband was thrilled with my choices and the improved lighting during tasks.  I also chose two lamps for our bed stands that we use when reading.  They also make fantastic gifts that can become cherished collectibles,  and beautiful decorative accessories.

Besides being cost effective as they actually pay for themselves over time,  they add years of comfort and beauty that coordinates our home style.  We installed them in bedrooms, family room   dining and living room and also our patio.  All were purchased from on line sites that supply huge varieties to choose from and at reasonable costs.  Assembly and anchoring to ceiling can be tricky,  but following the instructions to the letter is very important if someone in your household or friend is used.  If in doubt,  then hire a professional for safety reasons.  Anyone thinking of ceiling fans,  I say go for it.  We are extremely happy that we did.
